Overview:
YouRipper is a small utility application which enables the end-user to rip and download video footage from the YouTube website.

YouRipper provides the end-user with the capability to save video files from these sites to your hard-drive as an industry standard Flash Movie (*.flv). Form here you can view the videos in your chosen Flash Movie Player or, copyright permitting, incorporate it into your own projects or online services.

YouRipper is supplied around the world as FREEWARE and it contains No Spyware, No Adware and No Malware. There isn't even a registration system.

YouRipper is only ever visible when a web browser window is in focus eg. on-top and it simply clings to the browser windows Title-Bar.

The following web-browsers are supported:

  • K-Meleon
  • Avant
  • Maxthon

If you are an official supporter of YouRipper and your preferred web browser is not on the above list, just send me an email, specifying the name of the browser and the filename of the program generating the browser windows and I'll add it to the list. eg. Internet Explorer = iexplore.exe

Unlike conventional browser toolbars and Firefox extensions, the YouRipper Support Ribbon does not view, spy or record any of your web surfing activity. In this respect, YouRipper is totally blind and your privacy remains unviolated at all times. All it does is cling to the title-bar.

It is though considerably more powerful than conventional toolbars and can safely deliver a range of quality services which are beyond the capability of that delivered by conventional toolbars and extensions.

So how does it work?
The YouRipper Support Ribbon works by clinging to the TitleBar of your browser window, by placing a small button there (see below)

The first thing to remember is that, the YouRipper Support Ribbon is only ever visible when a browser window is 'in-focus' ie. 'on-top'. At all other times, it is invisible.

Clicking on the YouRipper buton (above) will unroll the application onto your browser window TitleBar. (See Below)
